Day 6 – God’s Presence
Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me; your right hand will hold me fast.
Psalm 139:7-10 NIV
Do you feel alone? Do you wonder if God is actually with you? Psalm 139 reassures us that God’s presence is always with us. We can be confident in knowing God’s presence will be with us wherever we go. God displays His Presence in the early morning sunrise, in the encouraging word or text from a friend, in the song of the bird sitting outside your window. Spend some time today actively seeking God’s presence in your life.
Thanksgiving
Thank God for the quiet moments to spend in His Presence.
Focus
Ask God to remove distractions so you may focus your heart and mind on Him. Ask God to make you more aware of His Presence in your life today.
God’s Revelation through His Word
Are there words or phrases that stand out to you? Are there spiritual lessons, truths or principles that you can learn? In your journal write a list of the ways God has been present in your life over the last week.
Prayer
Pray God’s Words back to Him, making it personally applicable to you. Is God asking you to do something? Talk with Him about it. Do you have a specific concern? Lay it at the foot of The Cross.
In His Calm,
