Go
I sit quietly…I rush around…I care for children…I clean house…
All throughout my day I dream & catch snippets of a dream God is placing in my heart, and it skips a beat with excitement. And then, sometimes just as quickly as it came it fades. I seem to lose it in the busyness of life.
This dream God has given me is a big one for me. It may not be for others but for me it’s a big one because it means stepping out in faith. It means saying no to things my head & heart want to say yes to but those things are not the “Best Yes” God has for me right now.
But the questions taunt me… “What if I don’t finish this.” What if it’s like other dreams and I can’t see it through?” “What then God?” “Does that make me a failure?”
And God answers me in my heart, “My child if you will trust me and follow me every step of the way I will help you finish this race I have called you to.”

It’s been a while since I’ve had time to write with Lisa-Jo on her Five Minute Friday post. Lisa-Jo is a shining example of stepping out in faith nearly 4 years ago and following a dream God gave her. She never imagined that Five Minute Friday would touch the lives of so many. As she closes out this chapter of the story God is writing in her life and passing the baton onto a trusted friend take time to visit her blog to see what Five Minute Friday is all about. And while you are there visit some of the other brave writers that link-up with her each week.

Hi, Mary! Welcome back to FMF! We’re FMF neighbors today. 🙂
Yes, yes, yes! If the Lord leads us to it, He will be faithful to help us finish it. It’s easy to fall into the “I can’t do that” trap, but we need to remember that we have the Lord Almighty by our sides.
I’ve missed writing this summer but I’m hoping to be blogging more as the summer winds down. Thanks for stopping by!
Like you, I am so encouraged when I remember that He is the One Who helps us to finish the race He has called us to. May we trust Him all the way to the finish! Blessings!
I’m so grateful He helps us finish the race He has called us to. Thanks for visiting Joanne.
It’s easy to get lost in the business of any given day, but what I know is that the dreams that God wants you to realize won’t get lost. He will remind you of those things. 🙂 Happy Friday!
Mollie, you are so right. He does remind me of the dreams He gives me. I love it when in the simplest moment He reminds me of the dream. Thanks for stopping by.
really is a bit mindboggling how we link finishing with either success… or failure… and how sometimes it is one or the other while sometimes it is both or neither.
Richelle thanks for stopping by. Great reminder that success or failure isn’t ours to judge but God’s to judge. He knows where our finish line is.
